Tour with the owners
A guided tour with the owners is a unique experience that will take you not only to areas that are normally inaccessible, but also to the heart of its restoration. Accompanied by the owners themselves, you will walk through wings from different historical periods, from Gothic to Classicism. You will get a glimpse into the rebirth of this exceptional monument. You will visit the authentically furnished rooms of the last owners, who left the castle after World War II, and you will feel as if the Schreiner family had left it only yesterday. An entertaining challenge awaits you: can you distinguish the historical elements from the elaborate "historical fakes" created by the eccentric Georg Schreiner? His fake Gothic chapel can fool even experts, so how will you fare?

There are lots of small castles in Šumava. Behind each one stands an owner who is passionate about it, and each one has its own story. Take a trip to the castles of Mlázovy, Mokrosuky, or Obytce.
A cultural walk in the neighboring village.
In the neighboring village of Velhartice, visit Velhartice Castle. Then walk along the Ostružná stream to Werich's cottage. On the way back to the parking lot, stop at the Na Kovárně pub.
A short hike with good food.
Visit the Church of St. Vintír in Dobrá Voda. Then take a walk up Březník Mountain and have lunch at the Rovina chalet.
A day trip in the heart of the Šumava countryside.
Take a trip to the village of Prášily. Park in the Slunečná car park. Before setting off, have a quick coffee at the Větrný bistro. Follow the red trail across Prášilské Lake to the Poledník lookout tower. Resist the temptation to eat at the lookout tower. Just have a small snack to keep your strength up and wait until you get back to the parking lot at Větrné bistro, where you will definitely enjoy your meal more.
Evening walk around Nemilkov.
From the castle, follow the blue trail along the Ostružná River to Rajský Mlýn. Keep a close eye on the river. There are beavers there that we have never seen before (they are very shy), but their dams are unmissable. You can extend your trip and walk to the neighboring village of Braníčkov, where they cook excellent food and you can play bowling or billiards over dinner.
