29th annual Czech-Bavarian Sunday

Dear friends,

This Sunday, September 28, 2025, we cordially invite you to the 29th annual Czech-Bavarian Sunday at the border railway station Bayerisch Eisenstein / Alžbětín Železná Ruda. This year’s edition takes place under the motto “Resonating Across the Border.”

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., two stages will host a varied program, accompanied by the traditional cross-border flea market in Bahnhofstraße.

You can also look forward to the Pošumaví booth, where, as part of the Trojzámčí (Three chateaux) project, we will be presenting chateau Nemilkov.

Highlights of the program:

-Welcome at 10 a.m. at the roundabout near the border railway station on the Bavarian side

-Musical and dance performances until 5 p.m.

-Children’s program with magician Waltini and the bat puppet theater by the ecological station of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park

-Information booth of the German Army featuring a wheeled tank

-Presentation of the book “Encounters in Bohemia” by Edmund Stern at the Naturparkwelten Museum

-Five-course culinary cycling tour with a guide through the Bavarian Forest National Park, finishing at Czech-Bavarian Sunday

Food and refreshments will be provided by local associations from Eisenstein, restaurants in Bahnhofstraße, and vendors on the Czech side.
